Psalm 3 / The Lord is my shield and my glory

Psalms 1 and 2 are the introduction to the entire Psalm 150, and Psalm 3 is the main text of the entire Psalm 150. As the main text of the Psalms begins with Psalm 3, we see David, the psalmist, facing a crisis. Psalm 3 is a poem, prayer, and confession written at the most desperate and miserable moment in David’s life. Psalm 3 is a poem of lament written when he hurriedly took off his shoes and was chased while wailing due to the rebellion of his beloved son Absalom.

 

Psalm 3 is a scene of life that clearly shows the reality of our lives. Life is not smooth, but a rugged path of life with steep mountains and steep peaks. This is the desperate pain of a powerless king father who, in his old age, fled from the rebels in a panic because of Absalom, who turned his back on humanity and rebelled against his father. It is the lament of a father who suffers indescribable pain and conflict because of his traitorous son.

 

This is the story of a father.

< "I am 42 years old and my wife is 39 years old. We have a 15-year-old son. He was pretty and cute when he was young. He listened well and was good. However, when he was in the 5th grade of elementary school, he changed..

The once cheerful son now does not want to talk to his parents and only plays games in his room after school. Even when eating, he does not talk and only holds his cell phone. When I try to talk to him, he listens half-heartedly and then says, 'I'm annoyed!' It is a daily routine to go into the room while doing so.

My son, who receives 100,000 won in allowance every week, stole 300,000 won from my wife's wallet one day. When I asked him why, my son suddenly started swearing at me, so I couldn't stand it anymore and slapped him in the face. My son left home and didn't come home for a week.

 

"Honestly, these days, I often think, 'I should just live with my wife.' I wonder if my son will be able to bring us happiness as he gets older. When I had a child, I was half excited and half worried because I thought it would be better for us to have one since everyone else has one.

I thought it would be good if I could have a child who would be a source of strength for my wife if I died before her, so I had a complex thought and ended up having one. I don't want to be supported by my child, but there will come a time when my wife and I will be left alone, so I thought it would be fortunate if my child didn't take my money and kick me out to a nursing home.

My grandmother, who is over 90 years old, is in a nursing home. I visited her recently for the holidays. There were other grandmas and grandpas, but we were the only family members who came to visit during the five hours we stayed. The others just slept blankly.

 

We also put our grandma in a nursing home and visited her once or twice a year, saying, "We've done enough." I also thought, "Wouldn't it have been better if our grandparents hadn't given birth to our parents and just lived their lives doing whatever they wanted?"

I have a son, but he's like a bastard. If my wife dies before me, I'm glad I can take care of her until the end, but if I die before him, I'm crying because of my wife who will be left alone. If I hadn't had a child, it wouldn't have been a lot of money, but I think I could have saved about 500 million won more for my wife when I'm old. I have so many thoughts because of my son.

​ Children just empty their parents' wallets, play games in the corner of the room, and swear at their mom. They wander around on weekends without even showing their noses. When I think of my wife, tears come to my eyes.

(Suffering is beneficial)

Is your burden heavy and hard? Look to the Lord. Suffering is beneficial, says the Lord.

Only the Lord knows the path I take. After He has tested me, I will come out as gold.

 

Today's pain is tomorrow's hope, and behind bitter pain there is blessing.

Suffering lets me know the true meaning of life, and I can be satisfied with Jesus alone.

The greater the suffering, the greater the glory. It cannot be compared to the glory I will receive in the future.

The cross of suffering is a treasure and power. Those who follow the Lord must bear the cross.

David had many opponents in his life. So he confessed, “How many are my enemies, O LORD! Many are they that rise up against me!” (Psalm 3:1). At the time he composed this psalm, his son Absalom was his most feared enemy.

When David was forced to flee from the palace and the capital city of Jerusalem due to the rebellion of his son Absalom and his followers, he was so miserable that he covered his head and went barefoot, weeping (2 Sam 15:13-16:4).

On the way of his escape with his servants, David reached Bahurim. There, Shimei, a member of the clan of Saul, threw stones at David and all of King David’s servants and cursed them.

 

“Go, go, you bloody man, you vile man! The Lord has brought upon you all the bloodshed of the house of Saul, and you have become king in his stead. The Lord has given the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son. Behold, you have come to your own destruction, because you are a bloody man.” (2 Samuel 16:5-8)

 

Many people said to David, ‘You will not be saved by God.’ The ridicule and laughter made David even more miserable. Their teeth were spears and arrows, and their tongues were sharp swords. David said, “My soul dwells among lions; I lie down among the burning ones.” So how can he sleep? David had no choice but to hold on to God’s promise and cry out in prayer.

 

In Psalm 3:2, the word “help” in “I will not be helped by God” means “to expand” or “to make space,” and it means “salvation” that is the deliverance and victory in war. It means salvation and deliverance in a crisis rather than the atonement meaning of being saved from sin.

 

There is no situation more miserable than hearing from people around you, “That person has no help from God, God is not working.” The disbelief and anxiety that you have no relationship with God at all makes your soul destitute.

What does it say, “I have no help from God”? Yes. It says (Selah). Selah means “Pay attention to it” or “Stop there and think for a moment.” "Stop there for a moment and think about these things. Get behind me, Satan. The Lord will rebuke you!" is the meaning.

 

Weeping brother, why have you forgotten to sing?

Praise in the darkness brings miracles.

Paul and Silas opened the door of the Philippian prison with praise.

The door of suffering was opened with praise, praise, praise.

Weeping brother, why have you forgotten to pray?

Prayer in the darkness shakes the throne of heaven.

Confess all my circumstances to the Lord,

Receive comfort and receive answers, and find true peace forever and ever.

Forever and ever.

 

David completely trusts in God and confesses with confidence, "God is my shield and glory, and the one who lifts up my head.“

 

‘My shield’ refers to ‘a shield around me’ (a Shield aroud me, NIV) that thoroughly protects me from attacks from all sides. The Hebrew word for ‘shield’ (magen) is translated as ‘sovereign’ in Psalm 84:9,11; 89:18, etc. It means that the Lord is the ‘shield’ that surrounds David on all sides and the ‘sovereign’ who takes charge of the problems he is facing.

 

God is David’s own glory. In the New Standard Version, the Lord is paraphrased as ‘the one who restores my honor.’ He was challenged for his royal authority and was ridiculed with rebellion and conspiracy. His honor fell to the ground. However, David was confident that God, who would give him victory in battles against his enemies, would restore his honor.

 

God’s splendid and majestic glory is my glory. It means that God’s glory will cover my life.

I cry to the LORD with my voice, and he answers me from his holy mountain. (Selah)(Psalm 3:4)

David does not lose hope even in the midst of crisis, but firmly holds on to the word of the covenant and cries out in prayer. When we cry out to God with all our heart, history happens. Crying out is completely different from simply cursing or being passionate. It means the spiritual earnestness that we cling to when we completely trust in God.

 

The Hebrew word for ‘cry out’ is ‘tsaach’, which is like shouting ‘Ugh’. This is a cry for ‘save me’. Then, ‘shama’ comes, which means that God will definitely listen. When we cry out to God and say ‘tsaach’, God says ‘shama’. This is the mystery and history of prayer. In other words, if we cry out, He will answer. Crying = answer.

If you don’t cry out in prayer, it’s a small problem In front of you, you feel miserable and succumb to problems. When you cry out and pray, your soul awakens, gains strength, and is freed from worries, concerns, and all fears. David jumped into the place of prayer barefoot before God and cried out to Him with all his might. As a result of his prayer, the dark clouds of fear that had filled his heart disappeared, and he was able to sleep soundly.

 

Not everyone can sleep soundly. How many people in the world can’t sleep even after taking sleeping pills every night? The Lord gives sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2). David knew the secret to sleeping soundly even in times of trouble and distress. He confessed that it was “the Lord who sustains me.” He was no longer afraid of the countless enemies and rebels that he had been afraid of. David’s heart, which relied on God, was filled with a welling of peace and confidence, so he had no fear. (Deut. 1:29, 3:22, 7:18, 20:1. Josh. 10:8).

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD upheld me.

I will not fear, though ten thousand armies encamp against me. (Psalm 3:5-6)

In times of crisis, trust in God becomes the spark of prayer that cries out, and the flame of that prayer defeats the power of fear, allows us to sleep soundly, and welcomes the dawn of peace. We will welcome the brilliant morning sunlight.

 

This is why Psalm 3 is called the ‘morning prayer’ and Psalm 4 is called the ‘evening prayer.’ Psalm 4 concludes the day’s events and offers an evening prayer, entrusting himself to God and asking for peace. Psalm 3 begins the day with a prayer of faith, in which David trusts in God even in a desperate situation. As soon as he wakes up in the morning, David cries out loud. Let’s shout together.

Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God; for you have struck all my enemies on the cheek; you have broken the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; bless your people (Psalm 3:7-8)

 

These words were chanted by the Israelites as they marched toward Canaan after encamping in the wilderness, and they were a kind of marching song (Numbers 10:35-36). They are military expressions asking God to protect Israel and lead them to victory.

 

We too, when we are in trouble in a crisis, especially when we are fighting against evil people and evil forces, and when we ask for God’s immediate intervention and help, have the wonderful privilege of praying, “Lord, arise,” “Lord, arise and help us.”

 

The words and tongues of the wicked are like spears, arrows, or swords that pierce the heart of the righteous, causing pain and suffering. David prayed that God would arise and strike his enemies on the cheek and break their teeth as a way of salvation. We can sense how miserable and difficult it was to attack with the words of our adversaries.

 

David also arose in the morning and cried out,

[New International Version] 7. Arise, Lord, my God, save me. Ah, you have struck all my enemies in the jaw and broken the teeth of the wicked. 8 Salvation belongs to you alone; bless your people. (Selah)

 

Lord, when you go through dark and painful times in life, please give me the blessing of crying out so that I can <cry out> in prayer. So that the peace that God has given me may come, so that I may not be afraid and may sleep soundly. God is my shield and my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

시편 1편과 2편은 시편 150편 전체의 서론이고, 시편 3편은 시편 150편 전체의 본론입니다. 시편 3편으로 시편의 본론이 시작되면서 위기를 만나는 시편 기자인 다윗을 봅니다. 시편 3편은 다윗의 일생 중 가장 절망적이고 비참한 순간에 지은 시요, 기도요, 고백이죠. 시편 3편은 사랑하는 아들 압살롬의 반역으로 인해 황급히 신발을 벗은 채, 통곡하며 쫓길 때 그때 지은 비탄(悲嘆) 시입니다.

 

시편 3편은 우리 인생의 현실을 적나라하게 보여주는 인생의 삶의 현장이죠. 삶은 순탄하지 않고 험산준령의 인생길. 인륜을 저버리고 아버지를 대적하여 반역의 칼을 뺀 압살롬으로 인하여 반군을 피해 경황없이 피난길에 오른, 노년에 접어든 무력한 왕 아버지의 처절한 아픔입니다. 배역한 자식 때문에 형언할 수 없는 고통과 갈등을 겪는 아버지의 탄식이죠.

 

어느 아버지의 사연입니다.

< "저는 42세, 아내는 39세 부부입니다. 15세 아들 하나 있습니다. 어렸을 땐 예쁘고 귀여웠죠. 말도 잘 듣고 착했습니다. 그런데 초등학교 5학년 올라갈 때쯤부터 아이가 바뀌었습니다..

 

살가웠던 아들은 현재 부모와 말도 섞지 않으려 하고 하교 후에는 방에서 게임만 합니다. 심지어 밥 먹을 때도 대화는커녕 휴대전화만 붙들고 있죠. 말이라도 걸어보려고 하면 듣는 둥 마는 둥 하다가 '짜증 나!' 하면서 방으로 들어가는 게 일상입니다.

 

용돈을 매주 10만 원씩 받는 아들이 어느 날 아내 지갑에서 30만 원을 훔치기도 했습니다. 이유를 묻자 아들이 다짜고짜 혼잣말로 욕설을 내뱉어 참다못해 아들 뺨을 때렸습니다. 아들은 집을 나가 일주일간 들어오지 않았죠.

 

​ "솔직히 요즘 '그냥 아내와 둘이 살 걸' 하는 생각이 많이 듭니다. 아들이 나이를 먹어도 우리에게 행복을 줄 수 있을지 의문이 듭니다. 아이 가졌을 때도 남들 다 가지니까 우리도 가지는 게 좋지 않을까 싶어서 기대 반 걱정 반이었죠.

 

​ 혹시나 제가 아내보다 먼저 죽으면 그래도 아내한테 힘이 되어줄 자식 하나 있으면 좋을 것 같아서 복합적으로 생각하다가 가지게 되었습니다. 자식에게 부양받을 생각도 없지만 저나 아내가 혼자 남는 시점이 올 텐데 자식한테 돈 뜯기고 요양원으로 쫓겨나지나 않으면 다행이라는 생각이 들더군요.

 

​ 저는 아흔이 넘은 조모가 요양병원에 있습니다. 얼마 전 명절이라 찾아뵈었죠. 다른 할머니, 할아버지들도 계셨는데 저희가 머무른 5시간 동안 가족이 찾아온 건 저희뿐이었습니다. 다른 분들은 멀뚱멀뚱 잠만 주무셨습니다.

 

저희도 요양병원에 할머니 모셔다 놓고 1년에 한두 번 찾아가고 '우린 할 만큼 했어' 이러는데 이럴 바에 조부모님도 우리 부모님을 낳지 않고 두 분이 원 없이 할 거 하시면서 사셨으면 지금보다 나으셨을까? 하는 생각도 들었습니다.

 

아들이라고 하나 있는데 후라덜놈 같은 자식 같으니. 나중에 아내가 저보다 먼저 죽으면 끝까지 제가 돌봐줄 수 있어서 다행인데, 혹여나 제가 먼저 죽으면 혼자 남을 아내 때문에 눈물이 납니다. 자식을 안 낳았다면 큰돈은 아닐 테지만 노후에 아내 앞으로 5억 원 정도는 더 모아둘 수 있을 것 같은데 참 아들 하나 때문에 별생각이 다 듭니다.

 

​ 자식이란 놈은 부모 지갑이나 털어가고 방구석에서 게임이나 하고 엄마한테 욕이나 하고 있고. 주말에는 어딜 싸돌아다니는지 코빼기도 안 비치고. 아내만 생각하면 눈물이 납니다.

 

(고난이 유익이라)

네 짐이 무겁고 힘이 드냐 주를 보라 고난이 유익이라 주님 말씀하시네

나의 가는 그 길은 오직 주가 아나니 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 정금같이 나오리

오늘의 아픔은 내일의 소망이요 쓰라린 아픔 뒤에 축복이 있다네

 

고난은 인생의 참 의미를 알게 하고 예수님 한분으로 만족할 수 있어요

나의 가는 그 길은 오직 주가 아나니 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 정금같이 나오리

고난이 크면은 영광도 크는 법 장차 받을 영광과 비교할 수 없다네

 

고난의 십자가 보배이며 능력이라 주님을 따르는 자 십자가 져야만 하리

다윗은 그의 생애에 그를 대적하는 사람이 많았습니다. 그래서 그는 "여호와여 나의 대적이 어찌 그리 많은지요. 일어나 나를 치는 자가 많소이다."(시3:1)라고 고백하였죠. 이 시를 지었던 당시에 그의 아들 압살롬이 가장 무서운 대적이었습니다.

 

다윗은 자신의 아들 압살롬과 그의 추종 세력들의 반역으로 다급하게 왕궁과 수도 예루살렘을 피신하여 쫓겨갈 때에 ‘머리를 가리우고 맨발로 울며 갈 정도로 비참했습니다.(삼하 15:13-16:4).

 

다윗이 신하들과 함께 피난 길 가운데 바후림에 이르렀죠. 거기서 사울의 집 족속에 속한 시므이가 다윗과 다윗 왕의 모든 신복을 향하여 연달아 돌을 던지며 저주하였습니다.

 

“피를 흘린 자여 비루한 자여 가거라 가거라 사울의 족속의 모든 피를 여호와께서 네게로 돌리셨도다 그 대신에 네가 왕이 되었으나 여호와께서 나라를 네 아들 압살롬의 손에 붙이셨도다 보라 너는 피를 흘린 자인 고로 화를 자취하였느니라”(사무엘하 16:5-8)

 

많은 사람들이 다윗에게 ‘너는 하나님께 구원을 얻지 못한다’고 말하였습니다. 조롱과 비웃음이 다윗을 더욱 비참하게 만들었죠. 저들의 이빨은 창과 살이요 저희 혀는 날카로운 칼이었습니다. 다윗은 내 혼이 사자 중에 처하며 내가 불사르는 자 중에 누웠다고 했습니다. 그러니, 어떻게 잠이 올까요? 다윗은 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 붙들고 부르짖어 기도를 할 수 밖에 없었습니다.

 

시편 3편 2절에서 <저는 하나님께 도움을 얻지 못한다.’>의 도움은 ‘넓히다’, ‘공간을 만들다’의 뜻으로 전쟁에서 구출, 승리를 얻는 ‘구원’을 뜻합니다. 죄에서 구원을 받는 속죄적 의미보다 위기 속에서 구원, 구출을 의미하죠.

 

주변 사람들로부터 “저 사람에게는 하나님이 도움이 없어, 하나님이 역사하지 않아”라는 말만큼 비참한 상황이 없습니다. 자신이 하나님과 전혀 상관이 없는 존재라는 불신과 불안감은 영혼을 핍절하게 만들죠.

 

"저는 하나님께 도움을 얻지 못한다 하나이다"하고 뭐라고 적혀 있나요? 네. (셀라)라고 적혀 있습니다. 셀라의 뜻은 "그것을 주목하라" 또는 "거기에서 멈추고 잠시 생각해 보라"는 뜻입니다. "잠시 거기서 멈추고 이러한 것에 대해 생각하라. 사단아 내 뒤로 물러가라. 주께서 너를 꾸짖으시리로다!“는 뜻이 담겨있죠.

어둠 속의 찬송은 이적을 부른다오

바울과 실라가 빌립보 감옥의 문을 찬송으로 열었다오

고통의 문을 찬송찬송으로 찬송찬송으로

 

울고 있는 형제여 왜 기도를 잊었는가

어둠 속의 기도는 하늘보좌 흔든다오

내 모든 사정을 주님께 고백을 하여

위로받고 응답받아 참 평화를 영원 영원토록

다윗은 하나님을 전적 신뢰하며 확신가운데 고백합니다. ”하나님은 나의 방패와 영광되시며 머리를 들게 하시는 분입니다.“

 

‘나의 방패’는 나를 온 사방의 공격에서 철저히 방어해 주는 ‘나를 두르는 방패’(a Shield aroud me, NIV)를 말합니다. ‘방패’라는 히브리어 단어(마겐)는 시편 84:9,11; 89:18 등에서는 ‘주권자’라고 번역했죠. 주님은 다윗 자신을 온 사방을 둘러막아 주시는 ‘방패’이면서 자신이 당면하고 있는 문제를 주관하신 ‘주권자’이심이라는 뜻입니다.

 

하나님은 다윗 자신의 영광이죠. 표준 새 번역에서 주님은 ‘내 명예를 회복시켜 주시는 분’으로 의역하였습니다. 그는 왕적 권위에 도전받고, 반역과 음모와 함께 조롱을 당하였습니다. 그의 명예는 땅바닥까지 추락되었죠. 그러나 다윗은 원수들과 싸움에서 승리하게 하실 하나님께서 자신의 명예를 회복시켜 주시는 분으로 확신하고 있습니다.

 

하나님의 찬란하고 위엄찬 영광이 나의 영광이라는 것입니다. 하나님의 영광이 내 인생을 덮을 것이라는 말입니다.

내가 나의 목소리로 여호와께 부르짖으니 그의 성산에서 응답하시는도다 (셀라)(시3:4)

 

다윗은 위기 속에서도 소망을 잃지 않고 언약의 말씀을 확고히 붙잡고 부르짖어 기도를 합니다. 심혈을 기울여 하나님께 부르짖을 때, 역사가 일어납니다. 부르짖는 것은 단순히 악을 쓰고, 열정을 내는 것과 전혀 다르죠. 하나님을 전적으로 신뢰할 때, 매달리는 영적 간절함을 뜻합니다.

 

히브리어로 ‘부르짖다’가 ‘쯔아흐’인데 마치 ‘으악’ 하면서 소리치는 것과 같죠. 이것은 ‘살려달라’고 하는 부르짖음이죠. 그러면 그 다음에는 반드시 하나님이 들어주겠다고 하시는 ‘샤마’가 옵니다. 하나님께 부르짖으며 ‘쯔아흐’ 하면 하나님은 ‘샤마’ 해주신다는 기도의 신비이며 기도의 역사입니다. 곧 부르짖으면 응답해 주신다는 말이죠. 부르짖음 =응답입니다.

 

부르짖어 기도를 하지 않으면 작은 문제 앞에서 자신이 비참하게 초라해지고 문제 앞에 굴복당하고 말죠. 부르짖어 기도할 때, 영혼이 깨어나 힘을 얻고 근심, 걱정, 모든 두려움으로부터 벗어나게 됩니다. 다윗은 하나님 앞에 맨발로 기도의 자리에 뛰어들어 힘써 부르짖었습니다. 하나님께 부르짖는 기도의 결과 자기 마음속의 가득 찼던 두려움 먹구름이 사라지고 단잠을 자게 되었죠.

 

단잠은 아무나 잘 수 있는 것이 아니죠. 밤마다 수면제를 복용하고도 잠을 못 이루는 사람이 세상에는 얼마나 많은가요? 여호와께서 그 사랑하시는 자에게는 잠을 주시죠.(시편127편 2절) 다윗은 곤란과 번민 중에서도 단잠을 자는 비결을 알았습니다. 그는 그것을 "여호와게서 나를 붙드심"이라고 고백하죠. 두렵던 수많은 대적, 몰려오는 반군들이 이제는 더 이상 겁나지가 않았습니다. 하나님을 의지하는 다윗의 마음에는 샘솟는 평안과 확신이 가득차 있기에 아무런 두려움이 없었습니다. 내가 누워 자고 깨었으니 여호와께서 나를 붙드심이로다

아침 햇살 비칠 때 찬란하듯이 주님 얼굴 대할 때 마음 즐겁다

우리 주님 내 맘에 빛나는 태양 문 앞에서 머무시는

온 세상이 빛 없어 캄캄해질 때 뜻과 정성 다 모아 주 영접하자

마음속에 풍랑이 일어날 때도 믿는 이의 참 소망은

어둔 구름 걷히고 해가 빛나듯 모든 죄를 씻으니 기쁨 넘치네

주의 은혜 맘속에 가득히 받아 생명의 주 늘 모시고

향기가 되어(향기가 되어) 영광스런 한 세상을 빛내어보자

 

위기 속에서 하나님을 향한 신뢰가 부르짖는 기도의 불씨가 되어 그 기도의 불길이 두려움의 세력을 물리치고 단잠을 자고 평강의 새벽을 맞이 하게 됩니다. 찬란한 아침 햇살을 맞이하게 되죠.

 

바로 이런 이유로 시편 3편을 ‘아침의 기도’, 시편 4편이 ‘저녁의 기도’로 불리웁니다. 시편 4편에서는 하루의 모든 사건을 마무리하며 하나님께 의탁하고 평안을 구하는 저녁의 기도를 드립니다. 시편 3편에서는 다윗이 절망적인 상황 속에서도 하나님을 신뢰하며 하루를 시작하는 믿음의 기도를 드리죠. 아침에 일어나자 마자, 다윗은 크게 외칩니다. 한번 같이 외쳐 볼까요?

 

여호와여 일어나소서 나의 하나님이여 나를 구원하소서 주께서 나의 모든 원수의 뺨을 치시며 악인의 이를 꺾으셨나이다. 구원은 여호와께 있사오니 주의 복을 주의 백성에게 내리소서 (시편3편:7-8)

 

이 말은 이스라엘 백성들이 광야에서 진을 쳤다가 가나안을 향하여 행진할 때, 외쳤던 말로서 일종의 행진곡이었습니다(민10:35-36). 하나님께 이스라엘을 보호하고 승리로 이끄실 것을 요청하는 군사적 표현이죠.

 

우리 역시, 위기 속에서 곤경에 빠졌을 때, 특별히 악인들과 악한 세력과 싸울 때, 하나님의 즉각적인 개입과 도움을 요청할 때, ‘주님, 일어나소서’, ‘주님, 일어나 도우소서’라고 기도할 수 있는 놀라운 특권을 누릴 수 있습니다.

 

악인들의 내뿜는 말이나 혀 놀림은 창이나 화살 혹은 칼과 같이 의인의 심장을 찌르는 아픔과 고통을 줍니다. 다윗은 하나님께서 일어나셔서 구원하시는 방법으로 원수의 뺨을 치시고, 원수의 이빨을 부서뜨리도록 기도했죠. 대적자들의 말로 공격했던 것이 얼마나 비참하고 힘들었던 것을 직감할 수가 있습니다.

 

다윗 역시, 아침에 일어나서 외쳤습니다.

 

[새번역] 7. 주님, 일어나십시오. 나의 하나님, 이 몸을 구원해 주십시오. 아, 주께서 내 모든 원수들의 턱을 치시고, 악인들의 이빨을 부러뜨리셨습니다. 8 구원은 주께만 있습니다. 주의 백성에게 복을 내려 주십시오. (셀라) 라고 했습니다.

 

주님, 인생의 어둡고 고통스런 시간들을 보낼 때 <부르짖어>기도를 할 수 있는 부르짖음의 축복을 주옵소서. 그리하여 하나님이 하셨다는 평강이 임하게 하시어서 두려움이 없어지고 단잠이 임하게 하옵소서. 하나님은 나의 방패, 나의 영광이시요. 나의 머리를 드시는 분이십니다.

 나무엔 - 시편3편

내가 나의 목소리로 여호와께 부르짖으니 그의 성산에서 응답하시는도다 (셀라)(시3:4)

 

심혈을 기울여 하나님께 부르짖을 때, 역사가 일어납니다.

 

부르짖는 것은 단순히 악을 쓰고, 열정을 내는 것과 전혀 다르죠.

 

하나님을 전적으로 신뢰할 때, 매달리는 영적 간절함을 뜻합니다.

 

히브리어로 ‘부르짖다’가 ‘쯔아흐’인데 마치 ‘으악’ 하면서 소리치는 것과 같죠.

 

이것은 ‘살려달라’고 하는 부르짖음이죠.

 

그러면 그 다음에는 반드시 하나님이 들어주겠다고 하시는 ‘샤마’가 옵니다.

 

하나님께 부르짖으며 ‘쯔아흐’ 하면 하나님은 ‘샤마’ 해주신다는 기도의 신비이며 기도의 역사입니다. 곧 부르짖으면 응답해 주신다는 말이죠.

 

주님, 인생의 어둡고 고통스런 시간들을 보낼 때 <부르짖어>기도를 할 수 있는 부르짖음의 축복을 주옵소서.
